Nervous about this, feel like it may get me in trouble but at the same time i don't really care because its awesome and liberating not only the comic involved but all the minds of the eyes that will look upon it :)
So I came across a many great comics in my time here at Lakehead and I have been getting better and better with technology, learning how it can make life accessible and easier to mow through. I have read so many different things that I would love to share with my family and friends; I have taken upon myself to make my documents more accessible to employers as well now. I sort of had to, lets be real; its the 21st century. So one of the things I am proud to say I have done (but nervous to be proud about it), is liberate the interesting plot of the Spider-Man "Maximum Carnage" series. I have created a more engaging and audio-book like youtube video as well as pintrest board; facebook photo album. Thank you Lakehead University library scanner resource! <3 love this machine.
I feel bad because it is Marvel and it is Stan Lee who is a total fucking boss! But honestly as a teacher, if able to make this resource available to my students, #14 out of the Maximum Carnage series is an excellent tool to teach the philosophy of moral development as Lawrence Kohlberg speaks of; or even utilitarianism. So for those of you that don't know Spider-Man doesn't kill his enemies ever; except the little screw up with the green goblin and the hobgoblin; RIP Harry and Norman Osborne. Spidey's most notable enemy to youth these days is Venom and believe it or not they actually team up together in this twisted plot. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Venom was basically the accidental creator of Carnage and thusly feels responsible for unleashing such unto the world. Venom is a vigilante who knows capitol punishment and sits along side similar morals to that of The Punisher. Putting aside their differences They team up and tackle Carnage; without killing him and without killing Venom; how does our wall crawling friend expect to stop Carnage; or stop Venom from killing Carnage? Read about it, a little more to it as you read it but I don't want to spoil that plot twist and brain busting question you will ask yourself at the end of it.
See! Worth it? I think so. Enjoy and good luck to my friends writing exams as well as my friends still on placement. Totally killed the summative assessment today! Got my fingers crossed for a contract offer from Maple Leaf Schools in China!
Cheers!
C.B.
